Dr. Pervez Hoodbhoy has been a faculty member at the Quaid-e-Azam University since 1973. In 1984 he received the Abdus Salam Prize for mathematics and is the author of 65 scientific research papers.He recently authored an article published in the Physics Today monthly, Science and the Islamic World - A Quest for rapprochement. Here Dr Hoodbhoy discusses the past, present and prospective future for the development of Scientific thought in the Muslim World.
