Warid Telecom Donates Rs.120 Million and Plans to Construct SOS Villages for Earthquake Survivors

Considering the massive destruction caused by the devastating earthquake which has affected thousands of households all across the country specially in the areas of Abbottabad, Mansehra, Balakot, Shikiari, Muzaffargarh and Bagh. The Management of Warid Pakistan and Warid International has contributed Rs.120 million towards the president relief fund.

Warid Telecom has provided free calling facilities at various locations in Abbotabad, Mansehra and Kashmir by providing satellite units and has installed free PCO’s at the PIMS and Shifa hospital for the convenience of the survivors of Margalla Tower disaster in Islamabad.

Warid Telecom plans to cons- tructing SOS villages to rehabilitate the affectees of the devastated earth quake, who are migrating towards Rawalpindi after loosing their homes and relatives. Warid will facilitate them by providing basic needs like food, medicines, tents and other basic amenities.

Mr. Hamid Farooq CEO Warid Telecom said, “This donation would serve as a token of acknow-ledgement that we as a Warid Family are there to serve our beloved nation in this moment of need and solidarity.

He further added that our group is planning to contribute generously towards the reconstruction of infra structure for the survivors of the earthquake, so they can restart their life after this calamity.
